CULTURAL  ASSOCIATION/KALA MANDAL:

This is one of the important association which works for the all-round development of the students. Higher education is not only related to academic achievements but also related to develop students with their natural talents in various arts and activities. This Association has following objectives:

  1. To nurture and develop natural talent of the students.
  2. To provide platform to the students for their cultural activities.
  3. To prepare and send students for University/State/National level competitions and events.
  4. To organize various programmes and competitions like Elocution, Debate, Essay-Writing, Quiz, Dance, Singing, Rangoli and many more.
  5. To organize various events in the college like ‘Saree Day’, ‘Tie Day’, ‘Traditional Day’ in the college.
  6. To organize Annual Prize-Distribution and Cultural Programme in the college.

Activities:

2013-14:

    1. Inaugural lecture by the Chief Guest Laxman Gaikwad, a well-known writer on 26th September, 2013. He motivated students for the hard-work.
    2. 7th January, 2014 to 10th January, 2014 celebrated as “Kala Mahotsav
    3. 7th January, 2014- Saree Day, Tie Day and Just-a-minute competition and Advertise Presentation competition.
    4. 8th January, 2014- Traditional Day, Fancy Dress, Historical Character Presentation and Ukhane Competition.
    5. 9th January, 2014- Jeans, T-Shirt Day, Elocution Competition and Poetry Recitation.
    6. 10th January, 2014- Ananda Mela (Fun Fair) in which students sold their various products, food items etc. to learn business skills.
    7. 7th March, 2014- organized Prize Distribution and Annual Function and Cultural programs of students.

2014-15:

 1.Inaugural program by famous singer Mahesh Kanthe.

2.Organized musical program SHRAVAN  BARSAT.

3.Organized Rangoli Exhibition  for Seven days.

4.Organized Cultural programmes for Three Days .

      1. Organized Anand Mela.
      2. Organized intercollegiate LAVANI DANCE AND SINGING COMPETITIONS.
      3. Organized Annual Prize Distribution and Cultural Program.

Achievements:

1.Reshma kapadi won first prize in Rangoli competition in Thane Zone Yuva Mahotsav.

2.Nand Kumar shinde won second prize in intercollegiate  Rangoli Competition held at Adar College Badalapur

3 Nand Kumar shinde won First prize of Rs 3000/- in intercollegiate Rangoli Competition held at NKT Thane.

4 Nand Kumar shinde won First prize in intercollegiate Poster Painting Competition held at Goveli.

5.Bhagyashree Thorat and Pooja Hindurao won first and Third Prizes in intercollegiate  LAVANI DANCE AND SINGING COMPETITIONS.

6.Pooja Desale Won First Prize in intercollegiate  LAVANI DANCE AND

 

2015-16:

Activities:

1.Inaugural program by famous singer Ramesh Awadh .

      1. Organized musical program SHRAVAN  BARSAT.

3.Organized Cultural programmes for Three Days  From 4 Feb to 06 Feb,2016.

      1. Organized Anand Mela.
      2. Organized Annual Prize Distribution and Cultural Programmes on 6 Feb ,2016.

Achievements:

1.Viraj Marke  won first prize in Elocution  competition in Thane Zone Yuva Mahotsav.

2.Mahesh Ghavat  won First prize in intercollegiate  Acting Competition held at ACS  College kinhavali .

3 Vaishali Karale  won First prize  in Murbard Tehils Swachchta Doot  Elocution Competition.

 

2016-17:

Activities:

      1. Sent students to participate in various competitions of the University Youth Festival.
      2. Organized various cultural activities and competitions in the college.
      3. Organised ‘Anand Mela’ in the college in which college students put on stalls to sell their products and understand an entrepreneur skills.
      4. Arranged Annual Prize Distribution ceremony on 18 March 2017.

Achievements:

      1. Our student Miss Renuka Jaykar of S.Y.B.M.S. bagged Third Prize in Rangoli Competition in the University Youth Festival.
      2. Our student Miss Pooja Desale of T.Y.B.A. bagged First Prize in Singing Competition in the University Youth Festival.

2017-18:

    1. Inaugural program by Sanjivni Mhatres a well –known story –narrator.
    2. Organised University Thane Zone Youth Festival in the college in which 12 colleges participated. 250 students participated.25 students of our college participated. Our students Akshada Khandagle got Second Prize in Rangoli competition, Sanket Karale got Third prize in Pakwaj Vadan,Rahul Desale got consolation prize in classical song competition. Honourable G.P. Pawar, President JSM,inaugurated the festival. Dr. Nilesh Save, Director, Mumbai University Students Welfare Dept was present for the festival.
    3. Students were sent to participate in Murbad panchayt Samiti Orgnised “Swachchata Mitra Eloution competition”. Our following students got cash prize: First- Mahesh Ghawat ,Second –Reshama Karale, Third-Arti More. Mahesh Ghawat was Second Prize of Rs.7000/- and Trophy in the Thane District “Swachchta Mitra Elocution Competition”.
    4. Organised Sari Day, Jeans Day, Traditional Day and Anand Melawa (Fun Fair) in the college. On these days, various competition like Best stall competition, Elocution competition, Bio- data presentation were organized. Prizes were given to the winners.
    5. Conducted  College Smart Competition for Boys and Girls. Student’s academic curricular ,extra-curricular activities and presentation were considered.21 students contested for the awards. Miss. Puja Popat Bhoir got “college smart Girl” Award while Tushar Ashok Dhangar got “college Smart Boy” Award.
    6. Organised Prize – Distribution function and Annual Gathering in collaboration with the sport Dept of the college.
