On August 9, 2024, the Janseva Shikshan Mandal’s Shantarambhau Gholap Arts, Science, and Gotirambhau Pawar Commerce College, Shivle, along with the History Department, celebrated ‘Kranti Din’. The program began with the worship of the portraits of Birsa Munda and Mahatma Gandhi. Dr. Geeta Vishe, the acting principal, explained the significance of ‘August Kranti Din,’ including the establishment of the East India Company in 1600 century, the struggles of Indian freedom fighters, the contributions of Lokmanya Tilak, in 1942 Mahatma Gandhi’s  ‘Quit India Movement,’ and the sacrifices of soldiers for independence. The event was attended by college professors Dr. Prakash Dhumal, Dr. Sunil Gaware, librarian N.D. Phad, Dr. Pravin Bhaskar, and a large number of students, with the event being coordinated and concluded by Professor A.R. Shelke.
