Introduction:
Intellectual property plays an important role in providing a competitive edge to any Institution. The tangible assets like inventions, designs, software, brand name and other creative & innovative ideas are more valuable than physical assets. The IPR Cell is committed to encourage, protect, manage and commercialize Intellectual Property such as Patent, Copyright, Trademark etc. generated through the College. The cell creates conducive environment in the academics for the development of Intellectual Property. Intellectual property rights are like any other property right. They allow creators, or owners, of patents, trademarks or copyrighted works to benefit from their own work or investment in a creation.
Objectives:
To create awareness on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among staff and student community.
Conduct awareness programmes on IPR.
To help the research student and academician for future benefit from IPR.

IPR was introduced in the college in the academic year 2017-18 by the college Principal Dr. S. M. Patil on 14th August 2017 where he had given information regarding meaning and benefits of Intellectual property rights, this program was attended by the college staff and students in 40 number. Prof. Mrs. V. V. Singh anchored the program while Mr. B. S. Aher proposed Vote of thanks.
In the academic year 2018-19. The cell has organized awareness program on 13/02/2019 by inviting Prof. Ganesh Kumawat from B. K. Birla college, Kalyan west. He has covered with the PowerPoint presentation various aspect of the Intellectual Property Rights with examples. Principal Dr. S. M. Patil delivered the presidential address and elaborated on IPR. The program was attended by the staff and students in 80 number. Mrs. V. V. Singh anchored the program while Mr. B. S. Aher proposed Vote of thanks.
