Right from the inception of college in 1989,Department of Marathi has been remained a motivational force of the college.It works constantly for the betterment with its emphasis on extra curricular,co-curricular and academic activities.The department continuously conduct many activities in collaboration with literacy association & Arts Association/Kala Mandal. Marathi Literacy Association conduct various program and competition to shape the personality of the students.It create an opportunity for student to improve upon their personality. Many Marathi writers and eminent professors have been invite by the department.State and National level seminars,kavya sammelan have been arranged by the department.
The department runs U.G with papers(B.A Program) and P.G. (M.A) Course.The Results are very good and miss More Dipti stood First both at T.Y.B.A and M.A. Examination of the university.The department has a quantified,experienced and hard -working staff which continuously tries to bring innovation in the teaching learning process.
